This is a little different than most other Web3 communities: it only lasts for the month of February. Why?

Besides building stuff, I like to write and draw.

When I started to write, I learned that aspiring (and professional) authors have NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), where they write a novel in the month of November, defined as 50,000 words, or 1,667 words a day.

When I started to draw, I learned that aspiring (and professional) artists have Inktober, where they do 1 traditionally inked drawing every day for 30 days.

Learning stuff is hard. Making things social is a great way to get started, and timeboxing the effort helps make sure you actually finish something. "Timeboxing is a simple time management technique that involves allotting a fixed, maximum unit of time for an activity in advance, and then complete the activity within that time frame."

Most people will never make a living learning and building in Web3, just like most people will never make a living writing science fiction or inking traditionally. That's okay, because full-time employment for all is not the goal. (Quite the opposite: unemployment for all is the goal.)

Instead, I'd rather treat Web3 like a creative hobby. One that makes me more multi-hyphenated, helps build my self-esteem–and maybe most important–helps me make some new friends.
